What we are looking for

Experience with dogs; accurate communication on comfort level with dogs of differing behavioral levels
Live in the Greater Phoenix Area
Availability to go to MCACC’s East Shelter, West Shelter or both during regular weekday hours
Reliable vehicle

What you can expect to do:

This is an area of great need for us, but this is not a position that everyone can fill, and we fully get that. Please only apply if you are comfortable in a shelter and comfortable meeting animals of various behavioral types. In this role, you will help us evaluate huskies within the shelter that our rescue is considering intaking. We need help taking photos, getting an idea of their behaviors, and getting information to try to pair them up with a foster.

Expectations include:

Available during shelter hours
Experienced with many different huskies and dogs of varying behaviors
Comfortable with fearful dogs and dogs that have had a bite on record
Able and willing to follow direction from shelter staff and our team; you will be representing our organization!
Take photos of shelter dogs and share with our team along with notes

We know that it’s impossible to commit to a certain amount of time or availability, but we are grateful for whatever help you can provide!
