Adoption Specialist
Requirements

18+
What we are looking for
- Experience with customer service or a customer-facing role.
- Basic knowledge of emailing tools (we primarily use gmail) and google suite (docs, sheets).
- Past or current dog ownership, which aids in communicating with adopters and fosters
- Passion for the volunteer work we do and the impact we are making to save lives.
- Enthusiasm for volunteering with a team that shares the same mission to help pups in need
What you can expect to do:
We are trying to grow, and to do this we need volunteers! Our Adoption Coordinator will oversee this role, providing training and guidance. She has established a process that the volunteer will follow and all expectations will be clearly defined. Expectations for this role include:
- Review adoption applications to matchmake rescue dogs to prospective families
- Perform video virtual home visits for prospective adopters (we will train and provide a checklist to ask)
- Facilitate meet and greets with potential adopters post virtual home visit.
- Attend adoption events and assist in facilitating event and visitor interactions
We understand that this is a volunteer position, and as such the Adoption Specialist can define how much time they are able to commit.
