Age Requirement:

What we are looking for

  • Experience with customer service or a customer-facing role.
  • Basic knowledge of emailing tools (we primarily use gmail) and google suite (docs, sheets).
  • Past or current dog ownership, which aids in communicating with adopters and fosters
  • Passion for the volunteer work we do and the impact we are making to save lives.
  • Enthusiasm for volunteering with a team that shares the same mission to help pups in need

What you can expect to do:

As part of our growth effort, we are working to onboard volunteers with more well-defined roles! While certain volunteer roles will be overseen by some of our board members, we need one reliable, communicative individual to act as our Volunteer Coordinator to help us keep everything organized. This role is very important to our overall growth, and we are hoping whoever applies for this role can be very responsive. What the Volunteer Coordinator can expect to do:

  • Communicating with and establish a rapport with our amazing volunteer community
  • Planning volunteer participation for events, to include working with volunteer transporters to get all participating dogs to the event and back to their foster homes after (fosters often can drive and stay, but sometimes they can’t!)
  • Occasional help with transportation on a case by case basis between foster homes, to medical appointments, and sometimes from the shelter to the foster for new intakes
  • Attendance at adoption events is optional – we would love to see you there sometimes, but we really just need someone setting everything up in an organized manner!

This is a volunteer position so we do understand that amount of time available to give may fluctuate – our greatest expectation is responsiveness, even if it’s to say that you are unable to help line things up for a particular event!

What you'll get!

  • The incredibly rewarding experience of working with rescue dogs and being a part of their journies
  • You’ll become part of an amazingly supportive community of husky lovers.
  • Experience with internal rescue processes and non-profit operations.
  • We are a 501c3 and volunteer work with us eligible to be used for college and grad school admissions applications.
  • Exposure as many snuggles with adoptable pups as you want!
