Samson came to us from the Bisbee Animal Shelter by way of a volunteer who networks and finds rescue placement in the Valley for animals in need. He was surrendered by a couple who realized they were not able to provide for him. We believe him to be about 5 months right now.
He is a very sweet, energetic little boy! Tons of energy, but is also smart and a quick learn. He has learned how to use the doggie door in his foster home, and how to sit. He LOVES people and wants to be snuggling and jumping on you every change he gets – training on not to jump up is going to be big longterm as he grows into a larger dog. We are unsure of his mix, but can tell there’s something other than husky in him.
He is very vocal and talkative, even more than a typical husky, and is excited to learn and grow and find his forever family. We are thinking apartments and townhomes will not be ideal for him because of how frequently he uses his voice! His fosters have worked with kennel-training over the last month, but say he is still pretty vocal when he is in one when now one is home.
He loves other dogs, hasn’t been around cats yet but energy-wise may be a bit much for kitties.
He just got his last vaccinations and neuter earlier this week, and is ready for his forever home!
