Molly

5mo female Siberian Husky

Molly is such a sweet puppy, though she still has a lot to learn about the world. This young girl’s family unfortunately is losing their own home and realized that finding Molly a new home now while she’s still young and easily adaptable is in her best interest. She has definitely been loved with them, though she does need quite a bit of basic training, based on her foster’s experience so far!

Her foster has started working on crate training with her and reports that it’s going very well – she will sleep through the night with one potty break currently.

She definitely has some separation anxiety when left completely alone in the crate, so this will take time!

She did grow up with cats in the home so kitties are no problem – and the same with other dogs.

Although there were children in her original home, we will recommend caution in placing Molly simply because she has so many rules to learn still – she will need diligent adopters to correct her and teacher her to truly thrive. She has mouthing and jumping issues, and is all about jumping up on the counter and getting into the trash when she sees an opportunity – her foster is working on correcting all of these behaviors, so we are hopeful she will start to show great improvements.

Her foster is also working on leash training with her – not her strongest point but there has been progress – and overall she sounds like a total sweetheart who just has a lot to learn, but will thrive in the right home.
