Sparky

~6-7mo old male Husky

Sparky is your typical husky puppy – crazy psycho energy levels, but total sweet lover! He is very playful and loves to interact with other dogs and play, as well as with toys (especially sticks). He loves to cuddle and gets very excited and can’t help to mix friendly excited bites with his kisses, so he is definitely in need of some basic puppy training still (though the foster has been working with him). He may not do great with very young children simply because he is still in the crazy puppy stage and doesn’t fully understand boundaries yet.

He does NOT do well when kenneled and is not great at the vet, however – he freaks out if he’s held down in even the slightest. He thankfully does not try to door dash and rush past you out the door, though the foster notes that the one time he did get out, he politely moseyed on down the street at his leisure to explore and would trot away if you got too close – so some wrangling would be required. Most huskies are not good off-leash so with the limited training he has had, this is not surprising.

He also has not shown a ton of destructive tendencies – he’s more into moving shoes around than eating them!

He does need to have his toe seen still since one of them is sticking up slightly at a weird angle – it doesn’t seem to be causing him any pain so we think placement in a foster-to-adopt home would be fantastic while we work that out, so please be aware he will likely need one more vet appointment through the rescue before his adoption can be officially finalized!

Please fill out an app if you would like to meet Sparky.
