Remy

6mo old male Siberian Husky

Remy was born 1/9/20, his original owners were unable to keep him, so he has been with a foster while we got his vaccinations, chip and neuter done. He still has a lot of puppy traits and is young enough to be easily fully trained still, with a little patience for the breed. He is 99 percent house trained, but will have the odd accident when too excited. He is also crate trained for short periods during the day and sleeps in his create all night. Due to the recent lockdown, he spends all day with company and must find a new home where he won’t be left alone all day – other dogs or kids, and active household will help him thrive! His foster absolutely loves him and is only letting him go so he can continue to foster and help more huskies in need.

Remy is a typical Husky in that he is energetic, vocal, stubborn at times and very social – he loves being with people. He has been socialized to be around dogs, vehicles, people, riding in vehicles and stores. The only animal he hasn’t been around is cats, but he is a big softy that thinks he is still a little puppy. He could still, we believe with his age and temperament, be placed in a home with a cat. His foster family has three children from 11 to 17 years old and an older King Charles Cavalier, he’s never shown any aggression to any of them, but can growl if he has a new treat and gets excited. If exercised once a day he is very relaxed and mellow and will lay next to someone all day. As with all huskies at this age, that daily exercise is crucial in keeping him happy, healthy, and well-behaved.

If you are interested in giving Remy a forever home, please fill out an adoption application – we are anticipating quite a few applications for him so please be patient with our response time while we review.
