Monty
~4-5yr old male Siberian Husky mix
Monty came to us from Clovis, NM and was saved from a high kill shelter that gives pups just 5 days to live once they enter the shelter! He is on the calmer end for a husky too.
Monty is a very laid back middle-aged husky (we are estimating around 4-5yrs) and he is going to need both a foster and a forever home! Monty is a TOTAL Sweetheart and so fun to be around – he’s honestly at the perfect age for a husky where he still has quite a bit of youthful spunk, but he won’t keep you chasing after him nonstop anymore. He really enjoys getting attention and sunbathing. He is also great on a leash – another rare one for our typical rescue huskies!
He does well with other dogs and seems like he’d prefer to have one in his home if not if it’s an option! Our initial notes showed he did well with a cat meeting, but this was in a more stressful situation and now that he was able to get comfortable in a house with one, we have learned that cats are a no-go! He does a lot of chasing unfortunately. He would also do great with a family and with children based on his energy level and milder temperament.
