Mika
2-3yr old female Siberian Husky
This girl has quite a story. Mika was found running on the 202 the night before Thanksgiving 2018, all alone and terrified with a chewed slip-leash around her neck. No microchip, no owners found although we tried.
She tested positive for tick fever, and had a pretty big gash on her neck, as well as several engorged ticks on her ears. She was a bit timid at first and could use some continued work on socialization and potty-training. We believe she lived outside prior to this as she was filthy when we got her. After her bath she looks absolutely soft and gorgeous though!
Her treatment for tick fever as well as spay and all vaccinations was completed January 2019. Unfortunately she managed to escape her foster home in February. We made many efforts to find her and failed. She finally turned back up miles from where she was lost through her microchip in September 2019! We have no idea where she has been all this time but we are glad to have her back to get her into a permanent forever home finally.
She does well with other large dogs for the most part, she seems to do better with some than others, but isn’t an aggressive dog. She is definitely submissive with people and acts as if she may have been abused, but as soon as you pet her she perks right up and goes in for snuggles and kisses. She is a really sweet girl who is just going to need some love!
