Mack is only around 10 months old, and is a cattle dog / husky mix. This sweet young pup should NEVER have ended up on the euthanasia list at the county shelter, but that’s where we found him. He is looking for his forever home now!
Mack was born to backyard breeders and didn’t spend the first part of his life in ideal circumstances – he was not socialized as much as he sound have been, and this made the shelter an extra scary place.
Since leaving the shelter and coming to a foster home, he is thriving! Mack does great with other playful dogs his own size. He doesn’t pull too much on walks and is very curious, and interested in chasing bunnies, birds, and even a grasshopper. We are recommending a home with no cats because he will likely chase incessently – a home with small dogs would require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.
Mack is a highly energetic boy who still has quite a few puppy tendencies – he jumps up on people and can be mouthy when excited. He also likes to chew on things, but what puppy doesn’t!
He loves his walks and runs, playing fetch with his humans and would love to have a playmate or a few close to his age. Mack does have a lot of energy, but he is very self-aware when it comes to kids. He met some kids around 2-3yrs old at a soccer game and didn’t jump up on them – he even let them hug him and was very patient, while also giving a few kisses.
Mack is the ultimate package. He is such a wonderful boy and extremely smart! He is crate-trained and housebroken. Even with high energy, he knows when it is time to chill and relax. He has the most unique markings – cattle dog features on one half of his face and the other side husky through and through. His fur is super soft and he loves his belly rubs.
He can’t wait to be your best friend – Mack would make a great adventure buddy and would love to you hiking, camping, or a trip to the beach – anything water related is a hit with him!
He is definitely one of a kind, very trainable and above all loves to be close to his people. Don’t miss out on this amazing little young pup looking to find his people!
