3/4mo old female Siberian Husky
Leia is in a foster home with her brother Tucker. There are also cats in their foster home for any adopters that do have a kitty, they are already introduced!
Leia came with the litter of 3mo olds that were pulled by us from a more remote shelter in Arizona. She came with 18 other huskies that were all saved from the same neglectful home. Our rescue was able to pull 12 of them. All of the dogs in this litter do great with other dogs, but some are a little more skittish with people at first. They seem to warm up and become very snuggly and loving for the most part, but definitely would benefit from longterm socialization work.
According to her foster, Leia is completely potty trained in their home (new changes like a home move can sometimes back this process up a little, so as with all puppies, some patience may be required). The fosters are working on crate-training her still, as well as working on getting her to take treats more gently. She can be a little snatchy with them still. Leia is a little more skittish and doesn’t necessarily seek out constant attention. She loves to play with other dogs and would likely turn into a less needy but super loving pet for the right person or family.
