Joplin
1-2yr old female Husky Mix
Joplin came to us from Portales, NM where we rescue a lot of dogs that are dumped or find themselves in a high-kill shelter that often euthanize for space. Joplin was very very pregnant when we were asked to take her – some awesome volunteers did the last-minute driving to get her here. She gave birth 5 days after arriving to a healthy litter of 5 – 2 boys and 3 girls!
Joplin is a very sweet and loving girl who is still such a puppy herself. She is very energetic and playful, and now that her pups are grown and placed in their own forever homes, she is ready to find her own family. We did DNA testing on Joplin and she is a Siberian Husky and German Shepherd mix – no other breeds!
Joplin is in a foster home with children and other dogs and is super social and happy to be with all of them – she needs a home with at the least another dog, but ideally a home where she isn’t left alone very often and where she is able to be as social as she loves to be. She thrives in situations that are more social and would not go great left alone for long hours.
