Coda

2yr old female Siberian Husky

Coda is estimated to be about 2 years old. Her owner who surrendered who to us had her for approximately a year, and had originally found her as a stray believed to be abandoned in the desert, and had no luck finding owners.  She is very affectionate, loving and loyal to her person. She is a gentle dog and barks only when necessary – most huskies are very vocal! She likes to go for walks around the neighborhood, the park or hikes and will stay right by your side.

She does have a kennel and has had to spend some time in it before, but isn’t the biggest fan to be honest. Her owner surrendered her because of her work schedule – she works 9+ hour days and Coda was not doing well being alone for that long. The previous owner reported that she as becoming very destructive. Her foster has another husky and a dog door and has not seen any destructive behavior from Coda just yet, but she doesn’t work as long of hours. We think Coda would absolutely thrive with someone who is able to leave her alone less than 8hrs per day.

She can be a little slow to warm up to new dogs, but will play with them if they are gentle with her as she gets more comfortable. She doesn’t display aggression, just precautions. She would be ok with or without another dog playmate as she really does just love her person. She can be more shy toward men and tend to like women more, so a female adopter would have preference for her. Coda just wants be your forever friend!
