UPDATE RETURNED FROM ADOPTER:

Todd Copper + Cleo are available again – we are going to recommend that they go to a home without small children and have to unfortunately disclose that Todd Copper, the red one, ended up biting one of the children in his adopter’s home. We believe this situation occurred when the new dogs and children were unsupervised in the backyard, and when Todd Copper was being overstimulated – we were told it happened over a game of tug of war. He has been in a foster home with a teenager with no issues. We believe they would be ok with children 10 and up so long as they are not too crazy and overwhelming to the dogs and know how to treat them with respect. Hoping we can still find them the perfect forever home together!

Cleo

1.5yr old female Siberian Husky

Cleo was surrendered along with Todd Copper – they were raised together from 8 weeks old and are very attached! We want them to be adopted together if at all possible. They grew up in a home with cats, so would most likely do ok in another home with cats with a slow cautious introduction to be safe – very rare for many of our huskies! These two are goofy sweethearts. Cleo LOVES to run and has big leaping bounds in her play. She makes the silliest faces as you can see from her photoshoot. She is a big ball of kisses and love, and loves to play rough with her brother Todd Copper.

Their owner was unfortunately no longer able to provide them with the care they needed. They definitely need some work on basic house manners and are still trying to climb up on counters and get into the trash. They need a little work on potty-training too – their foster will work with them in these areas in the meantime, but they will likely need some continued training once adopted! They are kennel-trained and sleep together in one kennel. They are also trained to sit and wait to eat their food until you tell them – they show an eagerness to learn and are highly treat-motivated, so with some time and care we believe they will become amazing family dogs.

Cleo was not involved in the bite incident and is likely good with small children still, but we need to keep her together with her brother so we are recommending no homes with small children. We also always recommend that dogs be supervised with small children especially during the transition period – overall they are both very very sweet with loving temperaments.
