Willow

2yo female Husky mix

Meet Willow! We got this calm, sweet girl off the euthanasia list where she ended up for a broken pelvis. She was found as a stray with no owner claiming her and surrendered to the county shelter.

She was able to heal without surgery in a loving foster home where she was able to be kept separated and calm while her bones healed. She is doing great and ready to go to a forever home!

Willow loves humans and is so sweet with them! She does great with the children in her foster home as well. Dogs with too much energy are a bit much for her and she will snap and tell them to back off and give her space. She doesn’t seem to mind calmer dogs, so we would definitely recommend a home with other lower energy dogs like Willow.

She does well on walks with her foster and doesn’t pull much on a leash at all – so rare for a husky! She does get overstimulated in loud, busy environments, so longterm continued socialization is recommended for her. She also does well in a crate if needed.

Willow is food-motivated (ideal for training), longs her treats and walks, as well as belly rubs and cuddles. She is super sweet and affectionate!

She would do great as an only dog, but we also think she would do ok in a home with other calmer dogs. She would do great with one human, a couple or a family – she’s not too picky about the people she likes!
