What we are looking for

Experience with customer service or a customer-facing role.
Basic knowledge of emailing tools (we primarily use gmail) and google suite (docs, sheets).
Past or current dog ownership, which aids in communicating with adopters and fosters
Passion for the volunteer work we do and the impact we are making to save lives.
Enthusiasm for volunteering with a team that shares the same mission to help pups in need

What you can expect to do:

We are trying to grow, and to do this we need volunteers! Our Adoption Coordinator will oversee this role, providing training and guidance. She has established a process that the volunteer will follow and all expectations will be clearly defined. Expectations for this role include:

Review adoption applications to matchmake rescue dogs to prospective families
Perform video virtual home visits for prospective adopters (we will train and provide a checklist to ask)
Facilitate meet and greets with potential adopters post virtual home visit.
Attend adoption events and assist in facilitating event and visitor interactions

We understand that this is a volunteer position, and as such the Adoption Specialist can define how much time they are able to commit.
