Tyson is all husky! This sweet, friendly guy is more on the smaller side for the breed, and is very social and affectionate. He loves other dogs and plays great with the 3 other huskies in his foster home, and has done well at the dog park. Regular exercise is a must for him – he needs to get his energy out so he can be the best version of himself.
There are kids 7+ in his foster home and he has been great with them as well – no aggression, though he does have a tendency to jump when he gets excited. As always, we recommend close adult supervision with a new pup and any kids in the home.
Tyson does not do great in a kennel just yet, though he has been showing some improvement. He does sleep in a crate in his foster home and will whine and vocalize sometimes, but has overall gotten significantly better as time as gone on, so hopefully in time he can realize this is his safe space. He is currently only kenneled to sleep for the most part and otherwise doing very well!
His fosters report that he responds well to correction and is eager to please. He can still get over-stimulated in environments that are a bit crazier, so continued socialization and patience may be needed depending on his adopter. He has so much potential with the right person to work with him!
Tyson loves to play hard and sleep hard, loves his people and loves other dogs. He came to us from the kill list at the county shelter because he was not doing well in the shelter environment – remember how we said he doesn’t like crates? That DEFINITELY carried over to his behavior in the shelter! He is so much better now that he is out and adjusted well with a loving family – he just needs his own permanent forever home, and he would love to meet you!
