Solstice

2yo female Husky mix

This is Solstice! She and her brother, Sol, came to us from Maricopa County where they were E-listed for fear. As it turns out, Solstice is a sweet girl who happens to have some anxiety. She is timid but warms up to people over time. With patience and love, Solstice will make an exceptional addition to a family.

Solstice doesn’t show any aggression to other dogs or humans. In fact, she would be happy to sit on the couch with you, especially if you have treats! She does have high energy which means she needs exercise and mental stimulation; she’d love another energetic dog to play with! Solstice is still learning household manners and does need to be crated as she continues her training.

Since Solstice is skittish with humans, her best fit would be an adult couple or family with older children who understand dog behavior and boundaries. She needs to be allowed the time and space to relax and grow comfortable in her new household. It would be best for her to have at least one canine companion that matches her energy levels. Her new family needs to be committed to working on her training to help her reach her full potential. We know that with patience and invested time, Solstice will thrive!
