Luna

2yr old female Siberian Husky

Luna is a beautiful 2-year-old “tri-pawd” who doesn’t let anything slow her down—not even being born with a partially formed front leg. She’s adapted like a champ and gets around just fine. Luna originally joined us in May 2024 and was adopted, but has since been returned through no fault of her own. Now, she’s back in foster care and looking for a forever family who will appreciate all the love she has to give.

Luna took a few days to settle into her foster home, and start to explore on her own. She’s lower energy overall—partly because her body works a little harder to keep up—but she still enjoys playtime with the big dogs and loves her walks. She does well in her crate and is especially fond of mealtime and belly rubs. Luna tends to protect her kennel around the other dogs, but she responds well to verbal corrections and clear boundaries. Her foster home has set her up for success with cozy accommodations—including a little carpet runway that gives her more traction and confidence when moving around.

Luna would thrive in a calm, quiet home with or without other doggy siblings. She’s good with kids ages 7+ who understand how to respect her space. She seems okay with cats so far, though slow, proper introductions will be important. Luna is ready for her true forever home. If that may be you, fill out an application today!
