Link

~3yr old male Siberian Husky mix

Link originally came to us from Clovis, NM in Spring of 2020. He was adopted at that time and initially did well, though over time his owner found his needs to be beyond her capabilities – we are thankful she realized she could not provide what he needed any longer and is giving him another chance at finding a home where he will get all of the exercise, time and attention that he needs!

We learned a lot about Link and his ideal home from his last. He has separation anxiety when completely alone, but does AMAZINGLY when there are other dogs in the home. He would try (and often succeed) in escaping his previous home where he lived as an only dog by breaking open the gate. In a home with other dogs now, he has not made one attempt to escape here as of yet. He is VERY playful but also good at accepting direction and knowing his boundaries with other dogs. He still has a ton of energy even though he is at a least 3. He is potty-trained and has done well in a kennel when there has been another dog kenneled next to him. His previous owner did report that he had broken out of a kennel with her, though we assume this was due to separation anxiety of being completely alone.

He isn’t overly needy with humans, but will come up and give kisses every once in a while to check on you in between playtime and naps. He loves to cuddle on the couch and in bed with you if you’ll let him.
