Meet Koda! He came into the shelter as a stray in rough shape! He had hip luxation (hip out of socket) and a large mass on his neck! The county vets mentioned the possibility of trauma. We just knew we had to get this boy out and to an orthopedic surgeon. He has since had surgery and is resting with a foster family!
Koda is an incredibly sweet boy whose foster reports he transitioned easily into the household. He gets along wonderfully with the resident dogs and loves to play with them. Koda is very affectionate! He never hesitates to seek out attention and is always eager to be close to his people, including the young children in the home! At this time, it is unknown how he would do in a crate or on a leash, but he has been on his best behavior indoors and continues to be a pleasure to have around. Koda also loves treats and mealtime- he would happily enjoy a good dinner followed by cuddling up with his people before bed!
Koda would do best in a home with other dogs, as he enjoys their company and playtime. He would also be a wonderful addition to a family with children having done very well with them in his foster home! While he is a big boy and not always aware of his size, this hasn’t been an issue for his foster family. His affectionate, sweet nature has made him incredibly easy to love! Once Koda is cleared medically, he will be ready to find a forever home so please apply to adopt him today!
