Jasper

Jasper came to us from the Maricopa County shelter – he was found as a young stray absolutely COVERED in ticks! One of the worse ones we have had some through in this situation, and so so dirty – poor guy needed a bath so badly, and our awesome foster got him fixed up super quickly. They say he is just the sweetest and an absolutely instant love with all humans! He has a lot of puppy energy still and needs training to learn to channel this appropriately, but he does not have a mean bone in his body.
He is very sweet and loves other dogs too! He has the typical high energy of a German Shepherd and wants to play constantly. He does settle down nicely once he has some good exercise or a good round of play with another dog.
He does need a lot of basic training still but is very smart and will learn quickly – he has already learned sit with his fosters and we know he will just continue to grow until he finds his forever home. His foster also states that they have now gotten him completely potty-trained in their home too – an adjustment period in a new surrounding is completely expected so he may not be perfect once adopted, but with a consistent and vigilant adopter he should do very well! He is also fully crate trained. He needs an experienced working dog owner, shepherd or husky type, as he needs training and a lot of exercise. He would NOT do well being left alone all day, so we are hopeful to find him a home with lots of love and companionship.

His adoption fee is $350. He comes neutered, chipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and tested for tick-related diseases due to the state he came into the rescue.
