This is Ivan! We saw a photo of Ivan and immediately knew we had to help him. He had a skin condition that caused severe fur loss on multiple parts of his body. He was very clearly uncomfortable with how itchy and sore that must’ve been. With the help of our amazing networker community, we were able to find the perfect foster home for to manage his care. We immediately got him to one of our vets to set up a full treatment plan, and he is already looking so much better (and happier!)

Ivan adjusted quickly to his foster home and began showing right away what an affectionate companion he is. It is very clear that he loves being around both the humans and the other dogs in the home. Ivan is fairly mellow, and medium energy—he even manages to stay calm when the other dogs in the house are barking at the doorbell! Ivan is a quiet, well behaved boy who shows off his excellent manners with gentle treat taking and calm bath time. He sleeps well through the night, is content in his crate and loves pets and snuggles. We could go on and on about sweet Ivan all day!

Ivan would do well in a home where his family is around and doesn’t leave him alone for long hours. He would also welcome doggie siblings (small and large dogs!), as he has made great friends with the other dogs in his foster home. He has not been around cats, and although he does not appear to have a prey drive, we are unsure how he would act in a home with cats. We would also recommend children older than toddler age. Ivan is a true sweetie pie, who cannot wait to find a loving family to call his own.
