Freya
6mo old Siberian Husky / Barbet Mix
Freya and her sister, Valkyrie, were originally purchased by their owner from a yard sale in North Phoenix – she was not necessarily looking but she said that something about the conditions there really made her concerned and she could not just leave them. They were 7/8 weeks old when she first got them. Unfortunately, after having them for a short period of time, she realized that her sons were allergic to dogs. They tried every medication that was available, and sadly could not find a way to make it work. They were very upset to have to surrender, and clearly only wanted the best for these sweet babies.
The original sellers said that they were Siberian Husky mixed with Barbet, which is a French water dog. They look just like little wolfhounds to us! They are very both very sweet, though Freya seems a little more interested in new people. Great with all other dogs. Valkyrie of the two is more of an explorer, and seems to be the leader. They are both kennel trained, and can sleep in a kennel through the night with no problem. They clearly are used to and love each other, and we would love to be able to find one adopter for both of them if possible!
