Chloe is a 4‑year‑old husky mix with a kind soul and a story that proves just how resilient a dog can be. She came from a large hoarding case. Born on the property and never having stepped beyond it, she was one of the final dogs removed — a girl who had never known the outside world. Many labels were placed on her, but her foster saw the truth instantly: Chloe wasn’t “difficult,” she was afraid.
With patience, consistency, and a calm place to decompress, Chloe began to unfold. Within weeks, she integrated into her foster home — with five other dogs! — and started discovering all the things she had missed. She enjoys her daily walks (double‑leashed for safety), loves car rides, and has become a splash‑happy fan of the doggy pool.
Chloe has now welcomed multiple new foster dogs into the home and has done beautifully with all of them — including three puppies she joyfully rolled and played with. Her silly, happy personality shines brighter every day, and we can confidently say she is wonderful with other dogs when introduced properly. She has also learned, with the help of her canine friends, that people are not scary. Men and women visit the home, offer pets, love, and treats, and Chloe has blossomed under their kindness. She has even had overnight pet sitters and was a perfect girl.
Chloe delights in chasing anything that flutters or scurries — bugs, birds, squirrels, lizards, butterflies — and she loves napping under her foster’s desk during workdays. She prefers to be close to her people, but she is not destructive when left with other dogs. She simply needs time to understand that you always come back. Structure helps her thrive: predictable routines, her own space during mealtimes, and confident canine companions make her feel secure. Because she has lived in chaos before, knowing what to expect helps her shine.
Chloe is not a fit for a single‑dog home — she truly depends on other dogs for confidence and comfort. She will do best in a home without cats, small dogs, other critters, or young children due to her prey drive and limited early socialization. What she needs most is a patient, loving family who understands that trust takes time — and that once she gives it, it’s incredibly special.
