3yr old male Siberian Husky

  • Called Barcelona at the shelter
  • E-listed at MCACC for fear in the shelter along with another pup, Madrid
  • Both pups would try to run outside or hide under their bed if humans walked past their kennel, huddled together during an initial meet and greet
  • Allowed all handling and showed no aggression whatsoever despite being scared
  • Slowing starting to trust his foster family and likes to hang out with them in the evenings
  • Often has to be carried outside, but is starting to run outside when the door is opened for him
  • Goes potty when scared
  • Allows and seems to enjoying pets and brushing
  • Lower energy for a husky
  • No behavioral issues
  • Responds well to verbal correction (stopped digging immediately when told “no”)
  • Timid around other animals, but is living well with other large dogs
  • Hasn’t been evaluated around children – will update as he settles in
