Meet Andre! He was originally e-listed at the county shelter for what sounds like having a lot of husky energy! He was taken into an experienced foster home and we are pleased to report that he is doing well. As expected, he was just misunderstood and has been thriving in a home that is not the loud, scary shelter!
Andre’s foster describes him as a perfect, goofy, and happy boy! He is affectionate and loves everyone he meets! He does well in his crate and walking on a leash. He loves to go on walks and benefits them as he is high energy! Andre will need an adopter who is committed to continuing his training around resource guarding, counter-surfing, and jumping up on people, though he responds well to verbal correction and redirection with food. He loves mealtime and will never turn down a treat!
Andre’s ideal adopter would embrace his husky energy and be willing to provide him with structure, patience, and plenty of positive reinforcement. He will return the favor with all the love in the world! He has been somewhat timid with other animals at first but has done well with the resident dogs in his foster home. He could fit into many different home settings, whether with an active couple, a family with children, or a quiet retired couple. If Andre sounds like the right fit for you, apply to adopt him today!
