Aspen
3yr old male Siberian Husky
Called Barcelona at the shelter
E-listed at MCACC for fear in the shelter along with another pup, Madrid
Both pups would try to run outside or hide under their bed if humans walked past their kennel, huddled together during an initial meet and greet
Allowed all handling and showed no aggression whatsoever despite being scared
Slowing starting to trust his foster family and likes to hang out with them in the evenings
Often has to be carried outside, but is starting to run outside when the door is opened for him
Goes potty when scared
Allows and seems to enjoying pets and brushing
Lower energy for a husky
No behavioral issues
Responds well to verbal correction (stopped digging immediately when told “no”)
Timid around other animals, but is living well with other large dogs
Hasn’t been evaluated around children – will update as he settles in
Quick Facts:
Very shy and shut down in the shelter; rescued from the e-list for fear
Will need work learning to walk on a leash in his foster home
No aggression at all; allows all handling
Good with other dogs but needs socialization longterm
Adoption Fee: $300
