Meet Zeus – this super sweet boy is 9yrs young! His owner surrendered him describing some issues with him having ingested markers and having toxicity issues along with incontinence, blindness and seizures – so of course we took him in! He hadn’t seen a vet in a very long time, and not for any of these recent issues. We got bloodwork done and our awesome vet got us the results super quick. (Markers played no role in any of his pain thankfully – toxic markers are no longer sold and haven’t been for years!)
Poor Zeus was suffering from a bladder and kidney infection that he had probably had for a very very long time. He walked very stiffly which we think was due to the constant discomfort in his bladder. We are very happy to report that after a round of antibiotics and a very loving foster home, he is back to 100%! We retested his urine and it’s SO much better! We will re-check in a few weeks again just to be safe, but it looks like this spunky cheerful guy is going to have a good amount of time left here with us.
The only health issue otherwise is the cataracts in one eye and is mostly blind in his right eye but sees great out of his left and is in no pain from this.
He loves other dogs and humans equally, and is a sweet loving senior boy.
His adoption fee is $150. He will come neutered, chipped, and vaccinated, with utd medical records provided.
