UPDATE: Sirius has been returned to us through no fault of his own – his energy levels exceeded his owners expectations and abilities, so they decided it was in his best interest to find him another home. He has been with small children and another husky and we would love to find him a new home with another dog companion!
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: Sirius is such a sweet, happy-go-lucky, hyper, playful boy! He would be best in a home with other dogs. He absolutely loves to play and he can go for hours. He loves to play chase, he loves to be chased and he just loves being around another dog. He has had some kennel training, but can be very vocal. He also loves to just be around people.
He also loves to play in water! He will jump in the stream if you are watering the yard or run into sprinklers while on walks or in the backyard. He has also jumped into the shower a few times according to the foster, when given the chance.
He has shown no food aggression with humans or other dogs – he may try to steal another dogs food, but with correction he backs off right away. As is typical of any husky, he does pull on a leash, so longterm leash training should be expected from an adopter. He knows how to use a dog door. He is potty trained and does not mark in the house.
