2yr old Male Husky Mix

Franco came to us from the kill list at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control – and sadly the only reason that he ended up here is because he was terrified of people and was never taught to walk on a leash. He has had to be carried in most of his movements outside of the home so far, and his adopter must be prepared to work with him on continued leash training.

Franco has grown to love the other dogs in his foster home and loves to play and is always seeking attention and affection. It took him a little time to join the other pups in bed with his foster (obviously this will be up to his forever home if allowed to continue, but it would definitely help him bond!)

Franco still freezes when he gets too scared (like at the vet office or in public places) though he has shown no aggressive behavior towards people or other dogs.

Franco has not been around very young children, so either a very experienced adopter, or adopter with only older kids would be recommended.

His foster reports that he is very mild-mannered for a husky and loves individual pets and love and will turn into a total ham, and cannot stress enough what a sweet boy he is. He will still need work longterm when it comes to socialization, so we will consider this when looking for the right home for him.

This boy has so much life to live and love to give, and would love a family of his own! Please fill out an app to meet Franco.
