Pearl came to us from the Show Low area in Northeastern Arizona. A kind man found her multiple times having escaped and run away. She had been kept outside tied up and kept breaking the cable (probably from boredom being left alone in a yard). He wanted to keep her originally because she is a such a sweet lover, but he discovered the hard way that she is not good with cats, and is a bit too rough for small dogs. Thankfully we were able to take her in.
She is EXTREMELY underweight. She has gotten better since we have gotten her on a diet of puppy food and chicken and rice and has shown increased energy levels and excitement. She plays great with the larger dogs in her home and absolutely LOVES people. She would love to sleep in bed with you or hang out nearby wherever you are in the house.
We don’t want to adopt her out until she gains a little more weight, which is why she is on a hold. She tested negative for tick-related diseases and is in good health and up to date on vaccines, and spayed, but she is just very underweight to the point where people will ask you about it everywhere she goes. As soon as she gains a few pounds, this sweetheart will be ready to adopt!
NO SMALL DOGS
