Krypto came to us from a kill shelter in CA. He has made SO much progress since he has come to us, he is a completely different dog once he is in a home where he feels safe and loved. He started out very scared and timid of new people and sounds in a boarding facility. He has gotten so much happier over time! He LOVES other dogs of all sizes and to wrestle and play.
Krypto’s downfall has been his struggle in communicating the same as other dogs – he makes a lot of grumbly, growly sounds, so much so that at first we were concerned of him possibly biting when he first got here! Over time we have learned that this is basically how he tries to communicate. It’s not quite the talking of typical huskies and can sound a little intimidating, but he does not have a bite history with us and we don’t think he would bite unless he was mishandled. We are still recommending a home with no small children because of this just to be save!
He is SUCH a sweet, loving, attention-seeking dog once he gets comfortable. He will come up to his human and roll and snuggly against you for love and pets. He will also jump up to greet you enthusiastically if he gets excited!
He loves playing with other dogs, and is good at knowing the limits of other dogs when it comes to play – for example, he will play rough and energetically with the adult dog in his foster home, but is gentle and knows exactly how hard he can play with the 3-mo puppy there without hurting her!
He is kennel-trained, though he has not shown any destructive behavior when left outside of the kennel at home with other dogs. His leash-walking skills are still a work in progress.
No small kids and no cats recommended in his home, but other dogs are a big plus. Please let us know if you would like to meet Krypto!
NO SMALL KIDS
Krypto’s adoption fee is $250. He is up-to-date on vaccinations, chipped, and neutered.
