Holly comes to us from a small remote shelter in Big Spring Texas. Holly is finally ready for adoption, but we need to find her just the right home! With all humans she is insanely sweet, gives kisses and just loves attention. She also loves long walks and would love an exercise buddy in her human family. She has the most adorable talking husky voice – she’ll tell you an entire story all on her own.
She needs further socialization and work on her interactions with other dogs, though she has made some significant improvements as of late! She has been playing well in the yard in her foster home other male and female dogs, and even puppies! Her past issues seem to have been related to jealousy over other dogs getting attention from her primary handler – since she has just moved to a new environment, time will tell if this becomes an issue longterm, or if she has outgrown it now that she is adjusting to home life vs shelter life!
She definitely seems very submissive from humans and often acts as though she is expecting to be corrected for doing nothing wrong – for example, she’ll do zoomies and play and play with a puppy when alone outside, but when a human comes out she’ll instantly stop playing and drop her ears back and tuck her tail almost as if she thinks she’s doing something wrong. We will definitely be working on positively reinforcing good behavior like playing well with puppies!
We had her tested for Valley Fever, had full bloodwork done, and everything came back negative so physically-speaking she’s in great health!
Please let us know if you want to meet sweet miss Holly 🙂
