Meet Graham! He comes to us from the Maricopa County shelter. Just 2 weeks after he was found as a stray he was facing death in an overcrowded shelter. He was so scared and was completely shut down in the loud and scary shelter – he wouldn’t take treats, wouldn’t come towards people and wouldn’t walk on a leash, thus they decided he could not be adopted and he was only available to a rescue. We were able very thankfully to find him a foster home so that we could save his life.
Graham is one of the sweetest boys we’ve ever met. Seriously! Like many of our dogs, we don’t know all the details of his backstory. But here’s what we do know: a) he is super cute! b) he likes to keep things low key.
He’s a quiet guy who prefers interacting with people on his own terms. He likes to observe what’s going on around him, and engage when he’s ready. According to his foster mama, he tends to watch his foster dog siblings first, before participating in any playtime activities.
Graham knows his manners. He’s not a jumper, is 100% potty trained, and loves spending time in his man cave (aka, the crate.)
Because he’s a shy guy and cautious around people, we recommend Graham join a patient family where he has time to continue adjusting to home life. He needs an adopter who understands his need for space, with another dog sibling to continue growing his confidence. He’s not so sure about leashes, so he’d do best in a home where he has a yard to explore while he continues learning.
If you think you could be a match for Graham, we’d love to hear from you! Complete the adoption application here.

His adoption fee is $300. He will come neutered, chipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and tested for tick-related diseases due to the state he came into the rescue.
