Bandit joins us off the euthanasia list at the county shelter here in Phoenix. This young boy is energetic and playful like a typical husky his age, though a little shy of new humans at first. He warms up and loves pets when he is comfortable! He is experiencing a lot of things for the first time with us, so patience is your friend in working with him. He also figured out how to get up some stairs, but getting back down them had him completely bamboozled and he needed to be carried down, which he allowed easily!
Bandit has done great with the calmer male husky in his foster home, but has become overwhelmed in situations with more dogs around (like the dog park – mostly did ok, but has had several altercations and as a result we wouldn’t recommend him going to the park in the long-run without more time and training to help desensitize him in overwhelming situations.
We are not recommending a home with cats or small children.
Please fill out an application if you want to meet this boy!
