Zeus – Adoption Pending
4yr old male Siberian Husky
Zeus is VERY sweet, good with other dogs and children, very easy temperament for a husky. He loves squeaker toys, playing with other dogs, and is very happy-go-lucky! When he was surrendered to us, we were told he had a medical condition called hemophilia. After taking him in for extensive testing, we discovered that the hemophilia was just a symptom of the greater disease – Valley Fever. He also very faintly tested positive for Lyme disease, which is pretty rare in Arizona. Zeus is on medication for both Lyme Disease and Valley Fever currently, as well as steroids to raise the platelet counts in his blood – he has shown marked improvement in the last few weeks, and we are expecting him to make a full recovery! He is going be an amazing dog for a family once he is fully healed. As Valley Fever will take a good amount of treatment over time, we are considering adoption with a medical clause that treatment will continue and be updated in coordination with us. He does deserve to have his own permanent forever home sooner than later since he is such an angel of a husky!
He will not be able to be neutered until he is more healed from the above diseases, so this is going to be a long-term requirement as well. Please let us know if you would like to discuss Zeus and his needs with us more!
