Kingston Lord
1.5yr old male Siberian Husky
UPDATE: Returned from adopter. This was not the adopter’s fault in any way and they tried extremely hard to get this to work, but unfortunately this pair is not a good fit with their alpha female. There were too many fights happened that they did not think they could work through, and it became a high-stress situation. We believe now that they need to either be the only dogs in a home together, or adopted to someone with submissive dogs only. The female Surkra Dixie is pretty insistent on being the alpha and so long as she is able to be in charge, she will be ok. She is having a hard time and unfortunately as hard as this family tried, it just wasn’t the right fit.
Kingston Lord was an owner surrender – he is 1.5 yrs old and a total sweetheart. He has beautiful long fluffy fur, and loves to give kisses and snuggle. He can be a little shy at first, and is pretty attached to his older sister, Surkra Dixie Rose (see our other listing). We believe that should stay together as he has always been with her and they are definitely bonded.
Both huskies could use a little help with continued socialize as they weren’t able to get out too much in their original home! Kingston especially is a huge cuddlebug who just want to snuggle. They give kisses and will sit for treats. He is very sweet and loving and lets his sister be in charge. She has unfortunately started to have problems with other dogs, particularly other dogs that won’t accept her as alpha, which will be their biggest hurdle in adoption moving forward.
