Jack

3mo (12-13wk) old male Siberian Husky

Meet sweet little Jack! He came to us with 2 of his littermates. A family full of amazing good samaritans surrendered these puppies to our care. They intended to purchase one puppy and when they arrived and saw the condition of all 3 puppies left, they were appalled. We are assuming they came from either a backyard breeder, or from a puppy mill transport to the valley operation (as the owner refused to let them see the parents on site). The puppies were covered in ticks and filthy. Instead of buying one puppy, they paid for all 3 to get them out of this situation. They took them home and cared for them as best they could, with many baths, feedings and removal of ticks. They also realized after several days that an apartment is not a great please for 3 husky pups this young (for crate training purposes specifically), and that they may gave gotten more than they bargained for with the breed.

Instead of turning around and selling them on their own, they surrendered them to a rescue as they knew we would be best equipped to get them all of their appropriate medical care and place them in breed-experienced forever homes.

We are accepting applications for foster-to-adopt homes now. Foster-to-adopt means that you will commit to work with our organization to go to the spay/neuter appointment for the puppy when old enough, and will work with our volunteers to complete all other medical, including a test for tick-related diseases once the pups are older (we schedule with you and coordinate) – once the medical is all complete we will finalize. So basically if you want to adopt one of these pups, since they are so young, we need to do it as a foster-to-adopt!

If you are interested in “Jack,” please fill out the foster-to-adopt adoption application following the link below.

His adoption fee is $400. This covers neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and a tick-related disease test once he is old enough (and any relevant needed care if there are any positive results).
